AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Premature death has been a frequent visitor to the family and friends of Michael Kenneally, a resident of the coastal hamlet of Somewhere Point. His parents lost to a road accident during his schooling years; his wife to cancer in the first year of their daughter Louise's life; and his mentor, Father Padraig Ryan suddenly at a time Michael was under several pressures. The toll on him is a deep seated, concealed, indeed not admitted depression.

'The chance circumstance of a predatory and corrupt attempt to bring a major resort development to the hamlet, and his involvement in the community action committee formed to fight it, have brought Phoebe Czarny into his life, him to her bed and both to a loving marriage.

'All's well, or not so bad at least, until a visit by some Irish relatives triggers a journey into the history of his father's family and an encounter with crime and corruption far more threatening than he'd dealt with in the Somewhere Point adventure.'
