BiographyHistory

Kevin McGrath is Sydney born. He took an Arts degree at Sydney University then taught English and History in several secondary schools. He found a job as a television producer at the Australian Broadcasting Commission and he began to write, in a very modest way, scripts for educational and documentary programs. His first original play, 'Little Topar', won the Cairns Centenary Drama Prize and was later produced on ABC television. A play for radio 'The Defeat' won an AWGIE award. Several stage plays followed. 'John Grant's Journey' at Sydney's New Theatre and Wentworthville at the Stables and at La Mama in Melbourne. McGrath has published short fiction in little magazines in Australia as well as in London and Dublin. ' (Publisher's blurb)
