'Cyclone Yasi, a Category 5 Plus, with all its fury, blew into North Queensland, Australia on 2nd February, 2011 bringing 280/300 kph winds. It was the largest cyclone ever recorded in Australia and covered an area in Queensland from Cairns to Mackay and inland to Mount Isa.'

'Needless to say, for those who did not evacuate the target regions, Cyclone Yasi was terrifying, unrelenting in its brute strength, and devastating to the homes and properties in the affected areas. Nobody likes to talk about the illness and disease that follows an extreme natural disaster, or the emotional trauma that is left in its wake. But someone had to talk about it. The publication of this book gives a voice to all those affected.' (Source: Back cover)
