BiographyHistory

Musician, songwriter, composer, teacher, music director, writer, actor, graphic designer.

Peter Stewart studied sociology and geography at the University of Queensland during the mid-1970s and early 1980s. During that time he also became active in theatre as an actor, music and and music director. Stewart especially involved with the Street Arts theatrical collective (1988-1990). Since graduating he has been pursued a career as a teacher (including Kelvin Grove State School and West End State School), worked as a freelance musician and had a long association with Kite Theatre.

Stewart collaborated with former Street Arts co-founder Steve Capelin in providing a history of the troupe in Challenging the Centre (1995).
