BiographyHistory

Founded in 2016, the Feminist Writers Festival (FWF) supported and promoted feminist writers by hosting a biannual feminister writers festivals and various one-off events. They hosted over 56 events in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Geelong, Lismore, Melbourne and Sydney, many of which were made freely available through podcasts. They also ran a standalone podcasting stream, FWFtalks, and published original work.

FWF closed in 2021, citing the difficulty of securing funding to sustain the festival.
