  • Scrapbook, photographs and press clippings on programs such as: "Ex-Service Talent Bureau", "Foothold to Fame", "Juvenile Jury", "National Fair", "The Air Adventures Of Biggles", "Korean Report", "AM", and "ABC Historical Talks", primarily 1936-1956 (though occasional radio material until the 1990s)
  • Television:
  • Scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, letters, photographs and articles, including references to the early days of ATN7 and ATV0; material on early drama series (including "Autumn Affair", Australian TV's first soap opera and the first continuous drama series; "Shell Presents", the first series of full length drama productions; "Pardon Miss Westcott", the first musical written for Australian TV, the sitcom "Hey You" and the ABC’s "Bellbird"); material on the industry's first Telethons and the first long-distance outside broadcast (Caberra to Sydney); news material (including the script of the first news telecast on the opening night of ATN7 and the script from the first newsreel a week later; news coverage of the Simmonds-Newcombe manhunt, the first live coverage of a news event); material on advertising series (for the former Australian Guarantee Corporation), 1956-c1988
  • The scrapbooks also contain material from various Crawford Productions (e.g. "The Sullivans", "Whose Baby?", "Flying Doctors", "Alice to Nowhere", "The John Sullivan Story"), 1978-c1988

Comments

Brian Wright worked in radio and television as a performer, writer, producer, newsreader (first newsreader on ATN7 Sydney and ATV0 Melbourne), production manager, program and senior executive. He also worked for Crawford Productions, eventually in charge of program development.
