  • Approximately 1000 tapes (in miniDV, VHS, S-VHS, U-matic and Betacam formats). Tape players available by appointment

Notable content includes:

  • Rove McManus' first TV show, The Loft Live (1997-99)
  • Under Melbourne Tonight - a variety show with regular segments by Tony Biggs, Merrick Watts and Tim Ross, Corrine Grant and Peter Helliar
  • Studio A - a variety show hosted by Dave Thornton and later, Tommy Little

Comments

RMITV is a student run production house based within RMIT University. It is funded by the RMIT University Student Union (RUSU) and dedicated to providing hands-on television experience to students by producing content to be broadcast on Channel 31 Melbourne.

RMITV is also one of the oldest community television organisations in australia, having been involved in lobbying the government for community access to the television spectrum. It transmitted its first test broadcast in 1987 to intercity Melbourne.
