- Oral histories: large collection of interviews conducted with NIDA graduates and others who have acted extensively in theatre and on television (a few examples: Carmen Duncan, John Gregg, Judi Farr, Betty Lucas, John Derum, Ben Gabriel) or who have had important roles in other capacities in the media (e.g. Penny Spence, Peter Couchman, Bob Ellis), 2005-2009
- Publications: extensive collection of theatre and other entertainment and arts journals, both Australian and from overseas. Examples of Australian publications include "Radio Pictorial of Australia", "Australian Theatregoer", "Theatre Australia", "Masque: magazine of the performing arts", "Limelight", "Kino", "Lowdown", "Encore Australia", "Australasian Drama Studies" and many others, 1930s-present
- Television: "Drama School", a nine-part documentary series (on DVD) made by Ronin Films in 1999-2000 and shown on Channel 7 in 2001
- News clippings: selection of media coverage about NIDA and its graduates, 2001-2006 (with gaps) and parts of 1987-1988 and 1995-1996
