There is no space or other facilities available for outside researchers.

Sydney and Melbourne hold the main repositories (see also Melbourne entry). Each other station in the network is responsible for cataloguing its News - Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Much film material from the late 1960s to the early 1980s has been transferred to the National Film and Sound Archive. The Network also participates in the NFSA News and Current Affairs project, whereby specified weeks of news are provided to the Archive.
