Content Summary
- Film and different formats of tape of programs since the company began in 1962: news and other regional productions, such as variety shows and documentaries

Comments
Lack of equipment for film and older formats of tape limits access to some material. The network’s bureaux store their own footage at their offices (Central Coast, Tamworth, Taree, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Lismore, Gold Coast).
The Newcastle Region Library (http://www.newcastle.nsw.gov.au/services/newcastle_library) holds extensive NBN material, including film and some video, as well as company documents. There is also substantial NBN material at the National Film and Sound Archive.
NBN is affiliated with the Nine Network, which provides most programming other than local news.
