- Material relating to radio stations around Australia with emphasis on the 1960s to 1980s (but also some material from the 1950s and 1990s):
- Extensive collection of Australian commercial radio recordings (various tape formats and CDs), publicity material, and commercials
- Also includes: correspondence, in-house publications, policy documents, music play lists, personnel records, audience research, station logos, scrapbooks, photographs and other memorabilia, 1950s-1990s
Comments
Wayne Mac was formerly a radio broadcaster and later Program Director and Producer, working for a range of stations across NSW and the ACT. He now works as a professional videographer, but continues to pursue his interest in radio. He has published a book on Australian radio from the introduction of television in the late 1950s to the 1980s, "Don't Touch That Dial - Hits 'n' Memories of Australian Radio" (2005).
Requests for access will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and may involve a fee for time needed to find the specific material sought.
