Seven years before, the love affair of true-Eadar Rangers Etaine and Cormac goes catastrophically amiss—with tragic consequences. As the years pass, Etaine slowly rebuilds her life but the Eadar are under attack from the Fada, religious zealots determined to replace the goddess of the Eadar’s misty lands with their own gods of stone.

The emerald-eyed Eadar are especially targeted, for the wisdom of the goddess runs deep in their veins.

As the violence escalates and the Eadar fight for their very existence, Etaine comes under Cormac’s command, the last Eadar she ever wants to see again. Together they can defeat the Fada, but to do so, Etaine must learn to trust once more and Cormac to Remember.
